Rotherham has received grant funding from Department for Transport to promote and encourage walking in the borough until March 2020. The project is provisionally titled "Walk 2 Rotherham". The project aims to work with schools, workplaces and communities to encourage a greater degree of walking in people's lives in Rotherham, taking up the baton from "Walk To" activities carried out with Living Streets over the last two years.
