Birmingham City Council requires a supplier for the provision of Maintenance, Inspection and Repair of Manual Handling Equipment. This contract will be for a period of 2 years commencing 1st August 2017 until 23rd July 2019 with an option to extend for a further 12 months subject to satisfactory performance. . o Annual inspection and servicing, including weight test and service report of passive / assisted mobile hoists, including slings as per manufacturer's instructions and as required under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. o Annual inspection and servicing, including weight test and service report of ceiling track/ gantry hoists, and bath hoists, including slings / attachments as per manufacturer's instructions and as required under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. o Annual servicing and service report of Changing Couches, Shower Trolleys/ tables and assisted baths/mixer systems as per manufacturer's instructions. o 6 monthly, inspection and report, of passive / assisted mobile hoists, including slings, as per manufacturer's instructions and as required under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. o 6 monthly, inspection and report, of ceiling track/ gantry hoists, and bath hoists, including slings / attachments as per manufactures instructions and as required under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. o Reports are to be provided for the site where the service / inspection took place and a copy is to be sent to the Service Manager for the site. o After consultation with the Service Manager conduct repairs where authorised, Please note repairs to baths, bath hoists, changing couches, shower trolleys and some other types of equipment may be paid for by other City Council Directorates and will be done so separately to the maintenance servicing budget. Repairs to all passive / assisted mobile hoists, will be paid through this contract once approval has been obtained. o You will be required to provide these services at Birmingham City Councils Residential Homes, Day Centre's and New Care Centre's, all within the wards and boundaries of Birmingham City. You will be responsible for making contact with each site to arrange inspections and ensure no lapses in service cover of equipment. o Approximate number of items to be serviced/inspected per annum are as follows: ?
