19430-2013: UK-Twickenham: Provision of services to the community

Provision of services to the community. Other community, social and personal services. Guidance services. The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (“the Council”) and NHS Richmond are seeking to let two 3 year (plus one year option to extend) contracts to deliver community advice services in the borough. Community advice' means broadly:
- information, advice and guidance on rights, responsibilities, entitlements, responsibilities and duties in relation to social welfare law and related law areas to people who live, work or study in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames
- assisting these individuals in exercising their legal rights and resolving legal disputes
- providing advice to other local advisers (‘second tier advice')
The Council has divided the requirements into two service categories or “Lots”:
Service Category Lot 1: Provision of generalist community advice services
Service Category Lot 2: Provision of specialist welfare benefits advice services for older people and people with disabilities
