19396-2013: UK-Liverpool: Refuse and waste related services

Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool (ACC Liverpool), comprising Echo Arena and BT Convention Centre, opened its doors in 2008. It is a flexible and versatile indoor venue capable of;
seating up to 10,600 spectators in its arena for sporting and entertainment activities;
hosting a multitude of different events in its convention centre through seating for up to 1,350 delegates and a suite of dedicated break-out spaces;
providing 3,600m2 of exhibition, banqueting and event space through its multi purpose hall which can be expanded to 7,125m² of continuous space in conjunction with the arena floor.
ACC Liverpool is seeking to establish a number of contracts for the provision of Cleaning and Waste Services, Security and Stewarding Services and Facilities Management Services. It is anticipated that the contracts will commence on 1st Jan 2014 for a period of 3 years until 31st December 2016 with the facility, at the sole discretion of ACC Liverpool, to extend the contract for a further two (2) two (2) year periods until 31 December 2018 and 31 December 2020.
The tender will be split into 3 Lots:
Lot 1: Cleaning and Waste Services
Lot 2: Security and Stewarding Services
Lot 3: Facilities Management Services
The successful candidate(s) will be expected to enter into a bespoke contract with ACC Liverpool.
In early 2015, ACC Liverpool will expand its offering with the opening of Exhibition Centre Liverpool (ECL). ECL will be adjacent to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, providing an additional 8,100m2 exhibition facility, taking the total to 15,225m2 of interlinked and flexible event space.
The expansion plans include a proposed sky bridge connecting the new and existing venues making Liverpool the only purpose built interconnected arena, convention centre and exhibition facility in the UK.
The estimated value of the Contract uses 2 years actual costs to then estimate the potential value across the full potential duration of the Contract which is seven (7) years.
The estimated value of the Contract detailed in this notice does not include the projections for the ECL. Generally, any projections for increased spend are currently calculated at an approximate increase of 25%, Further information regarding the venue, will be included in the Invitation to Tender.
