The Maritime and Coastguard Agency has a requirement for a suitably competent and experienced contractor to undertake the boiler replacement from oil to LPG, replacement pumps, pipework and controls for the Dover Sector Base. The current boiler is oil fired and the proposal is to replace these with LPG boilers, including a package boiler house and LPG tanks. Works look to start mid March 2013 with a 12 week programme, and will need to be undertaken with the Client in occupation. The works will be notifiable under the CDM Regulations 2007 and as such the successful contractor will be required to demonstrate suitable competence. The works will be tendered under a single stage selective tendering process and let under an NEC3 Short form Engineering Contract.
