The Highland Council has introduced Framework Agreements for Construction Contractors to maintain and improve our buildings and help to deliver our repairs and capital programme.
The Highland Council will renew/review this Framework every six months offering the contractors who missed the opportunity access to the Framework.
- Existing Framework Contractors Only -
If you are an existing framework contractor you need do nothing more – your inclusion will continue with your current status and information unless you require to provide updates.
- New Framework Contractors - will be required to complete an SAQ for this framework.
This particular requirement, Contractor Framework Category 1, will cover all categories of work for repairs, maintenance and minor works projects up to an individual value of 50000GBP. The intention is to create a formal framework database of all competent contractors who apply to participate.
Within this category contractors will be required to respond to individual works orders for both domestic and commercial properties, participate in a quotation process for certain categories of work where competition may be required and deliver a responsive repairs service both during and outwith normal working hours.

Contract value: The Highland Council in creating this framework does not guarantee any minimum level of expenditure, quantity, allocation or value of work or inclusion in any quotation process. The allocation of work will be determined by the prevailing circumstances and may relate to availability of internal resources, the contractors availability, location of works, capability, trade discipline, performance monitoring and the ability to respond to a specific requirement in a specific area.The value of individual works orders shall not exceed 50000GBP.
