Lancaster University is currently in the process of implementing IP telephony to all users across the University.
As part of this project, the University now wishes to procure telephony carrier services to address the following:
1. Consolidate its telephony carrier services to integrate with the new IP based Cisco telephone system;
2. Improve its Disaster Recovery arrangements for the routing of telephone calls;
3. Achieve cost savings;
4. As an option, improve the physical resilience of telephony carrier services into the University campus.
The scope of this procurement specifically includes the following elements:
a) Primary Rate ISDN links for the incoming and outgoing telephone calls using Q.931;
b) Optional SIP trunks for improved disaster recovery arrangements / cost savings;
c) Optional analogue direct exchange lines;
d) DDI numbers;
e) Outgoing minutes to all destinations;
f) Billing services;
g) Account Management;
h) Associated support and service;
i) Implementation.
