Research laboratory services. English Heritage funds a substantial programme of tree-ring dating to support its statutory grant-giving, and other priorities. The statutory and repair-driven nature of much of this work often imposes limited windows of opportunity for sampling and strict reporting deadlines. Research on up to 250 sites/cases will be required over the next four years (1.4.2013 to 31.3.2016). All aspects of the research must be undertaken to English Heritage standards and will undergo quality assurance procedures with the finalised report meeting the required standards for inclusion in the English Heritage Research Report Series.

Contract value: The contract will be split into 5 lots each of which it is intended to let to at least 2 suppliers to provide security of supply. All bids will be assessed using the criteria stated in the tender documentation.
