The purpose is to design and build the New Amenities Building before early August 2014. The approximate gross internal area is 4 000 m². The building is predominantly arranged over 3 storeys and is principally arranged around the uses of the bar and dining hall zones but also provides accommodation for faith areas, student services, graduates, undergraduates and general administration. Two plant rooms are located on the third storey. The project will be required to achieve BREEAM Excellent rating. The current intention is to invite tenders based on RIBA Stage E information. It's currently proposed that the Architect and the Civil and Structural Engineers are novated to the appointed building contractor. The remainder of the consultants will be retained to the University of Nottingham.
