This Contract is one part of an overall scheme to reduce the amount of energy the Council consumes in its day to day street lighting operations.
The Contract for Luminaires and Gear is being awarded pursuant to a recent Tender exercise undertaken by the Council to appoint a Street Lighting Central Management System (CMS) provider. It is the expectation that the successful Contractor(s) will work with the CMS provider in the factory fitment of dimming modules where required.
A full Bill of Quantities is included in the Tender document.
Tenderers should note that there is currently no fixed contract commencement date, however the estimated Tender timetable indicates that this will be in early April 2013. It should be noted however that dependent upon the number and complexity of Tenders received that this may need to be put back as appropriate for a full and detailed evaluation process to be undertaken.
