Contract value: 1Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council acting as the Lead Authority for the Hertfordshire Waste Partnership (HWP) wishes to enter into contractual arrangements with a suitably qualified Service Provider(s) for the sale of commingled recyclates for a period of three years commencing on 1.6.2013.The Service Provider(s) shall entirely at its / their own cost deliver too and utilise a facility for the receipt and processing of the HWP's commingled dry recyclables which will be collected under the Lots specified.The Service Provider(s) shall only deliver commingled dry recyclables to a MRF facility that is officially licensed and approved by relevant authorities as suitable for the receipt and processing of commingled dry recyclables. The Service Provider shall at all times comply with all relevant legislation and Codes of Practice relating to the accumulation, storage, collection, handling, processing and disposal of all waste types collected and processed under this Contract.The following authorities will join the contract in June 2013:— Hertsmere Borough Council;— North Hertfordshire District Council.The following authorities will join the contract in October 2013:— Watford Borough Council;— Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.Subject to the terms specified in the contract, the following authorities will have a right to join the contract under any of the Lots specified during the initial term of the contract:— Broxbourne Borough Council;— Dacorum Borough Council;— East Hertfordshire District Council;— St Albans City and District Council;— Stevenage Borough Council;— Three Rivers District Council;— Hertfordshire County Council.Estimated value excluding VAT: 400 000 GBP
