The London Borough of Hackney is seeking to establish a framework for a single experienced provider to deliver weedspraying services throughout the borough. The main provision of weed control services will be required from March to December and there may also be ad hoc sprays necessary as and when required. Services under this framework will involve the application of herbicide to eradicate all grass and weed growth on the highways. This includes surfaced footways, kerbs, channels, back lines, paved roundabouts/traffic islands, street furniture and tree bases and any other sites/areas as directed (e.g. council car parks). The duration of the framework will be a maximum of 4 years and shall commence in February 2013.
