392690-2012: UK-Belfast: Police services

The Police Service of Northern Ireland has a requirement for the provision of substance and alcohol testing programme as detailed in this specification. This programme applies to all Police Officers and Police Staff in safety and security critical posts as per PSNI Policy Directive 10/08 and Service Procedure 21/11. The Police Service of Northern Ireland have introduced this programme in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Regulations (Northern Ireland) Order 1978, Home Office Circular 011/2012 and current ACPO guidance on substance misuse and testing. The intention is to tender for a wholly outsourced service including the collection, screening and analysis of samples.

Contract value: Contract will be for an initial period of one year, with 4 options to extend, reviewed annually.Estimated value excluding VAT: 750 000 GBP
