392347-2012: UK-Abingdon: Photocopying and offset printing equipment

The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority at Culham (hereafter referred to as The Authority) is at the forefront of utilising Colour MFD technology. Having installed networked full colour MFDs 7 years ago it is looking for the next step forward. Through the placement of this contract it is looking to further advance the facilities that the current generation of machines can offer, in particular with regards to the areas of document management, scanning and follow me printing.
The Authority is seeking the lowest cost, most technically competent Contractors who are capable of adding value through effective and balanced page output management.
In addition to the specification below The Authority are also looking for the selected supplier to provide direct servicing to legacy printing devices, these include Kyocera printers and the Ricoh 901c print machine please stipulate who will be carrying out the service, support and preventative maintenance on these machines. These items would be expected to be operated under the same terms and conditions as those for the supply of the MFDs
The Authority in accordance with UK Government policy, are working to integrate sustainability and environmental considerations into all procurement activities.
To provide The Authority with 38 full colour MFDs, these are to be split into two categories: 16 machines with a colour print speed of at least 35cpm and 22 machines with a colour print speed of at least 55cpm.
