(NU/1628) Provision of Consultancy to the DER Project

The Driving Electrical Revolution (DER) Industrialisation Centres is a 33M investment from the UK Government into the development of Power Electronics Machines and Drives (PEMD). Seven industrial sectors have been identified, including automotive, aerospace and industrial. The DER Centres are being led by Newcastle University and include the creation of an off campus facility in Sunderland: The DER Centre North East. The Centre will provide an open access prototype and scale up manufacturing facility to help accelerate product development.\r \r The DER Centre North East will include a cross-sectoral electrical machine assembly line. The vision is to develop a set of independent assembly and test cells that together form a flexible machine assembly plant, giving companies access to leading edge automated electrical machine manufacturing technology.\r \r To manifest the vision, the university wishes to engage support from experienced designers (Consultants) in the development of automated machine assembly facilities. Specifically across five stages:\r \r 1. Stake holder engagement and performance requirements.\r 2. Facility design.\r 3. Equipment specification.\r 4. Assessment of offers received.\r 5. Commission, integration and launch.\r \r Please find attached RFQ document - we require bidders to submit a quote that meets all requirements, and provide information that evidences this.
