Stockport MBC is inviting tenders for a Home Support Service for people experiencing mental distress and who are in social crisis to start from April 2013. Please note that this service has no connection to the provision of a domiciliary care service.
The proposed service will be a key part of Stockport’s new commissioning strategy, aiming to reduce the numbers of people requiring assessment and interventions from Pennine Care NHS Trust. As such it will be provided to people living in their own homes in the borough of Stockport and will offer short term interventions to support people to cope and recover a quality of life over which they have good control.
