The requirement is for replacement of PPE as and when required locally by the Ambulance trust for the Hazardous Areas Response Team (HARTeam) across England, N. Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Any requirement(s) will be procured locally by the appropriate trust as and when the need may arise, therefore we are unable to guarantee any level of business arising from the award of this framework.
For the purpose of quantities for this framework there are 15 HARTeams across the England, plus 3 in Scotland, 1 in Wales and 1 in N. Ireland each team has 46 operatives, each operative will have an Incident Ground kit as part of the standard PPE issue.
The Incident Ground Kit PPE garment needs to be inherently fire retardant, consist of a two piece trouser and jacket configuration to standard EN ISO 11612 (protective clothing against heat and flame. previously EN531). The trouser must have fixed bracers and be capable of fitting to the jacket by way of a zip function to create a one piece garment. Both garments need to be machine washable at 40°C.
