Cabins. Provide on a rental basis standard and customized Portable Cabins (or modular construction) of different type and size on Commonwealth Games venues.
— All Portable Cabins (or modular construction) shall be available in sizes from 2.5m -3.5m wide and from 6m – 12m long.
— Portable Cabins (or modular construction) can be supplied on wheels (driven into place) or on skid (craned or flown in to position). All Portable Cabins are to be supplied with appropriate understructure/scaffold and shall be levelled on installation by the supplier.
— Due to spatial restraints Portable Cabins (or modular construction) may have to be stackable or elevated on a scaffold support.
— Portable Cabins (or modular construction) shall be provided with stairs and ramps (including when elevated above ground with understructure/scaffold).
— All Portable Cabins (or modular construction) must have interior and exterior locking doors, and a secure, external window protection system if required.
— Portable Cabins (or modular construction) may have to be skirted, depending on their location and use.
— Portable Cabins (or modular construction) shall allow multiple units to be connected, they shall permit to accommodate office spaces, kitchens, washrooms and showers. Portable Cabins (or modular construction) may also be used for storage, equipment lock-up, first aid, water storage and laundry facilities.
— Standard Portable Cabins shall be available in various layout (1, 2 or 3 rooms).
— Portable Cabins (or modular construction) used as Washroom/shower, kitchen and laundry facilities shall allow direct connection to water and sewer systems, or shall be able to run from temporary holding tanks.
— Portable Cabins (or modular construction) shall be delivered with internal electrical, telecommunications/network and HVAC systems. All Portable Cabins must be grounded electrically.
— All Portable Cabins (or modular construction) must have a like-new finish and in any case be less than 5 years old.
All commodities must comply with the Scottish Building Regulations together with any Local Authority By Laws Requirements (Glasgow City Council / North Lanarkshire Council / Edinburgh city Council / Dundee City Council / Angus Council).
The complete Work Package supplied must include:
— Project Management and Scheduling services.
— Condition survey and engineering before any installation on site (ground and structural stability).
— Provision of all product specifications and certificates prior to construction/installation.
— Labour and material handlings (trucks, crane, or any other delivery system) required to install, commission, maintain and remove the product.
— Maintenance of commodities during games time.
