The contract opportunity entails the diversion of the Mallsmire / Polmadie and West Burns at Shawfield, Glasgow.
The aim of these diversion works is to remove pathways for contamination entering the culverts and migrating into the water environment and also to maximise potential development space.
The culvert diversion works comprise of three specific components, namely diversion of the West Burn culvert; diversion of the Polmadie Burn culvert; and grouting up the abandoned lengths of culverts.
