GB-Brighton: Provision of Security Services

The Trust currently employs an external security company to provide a mobile security patrol service and a key holding service to provide an out of hours response to alarm activation. Our objective is to appoint a Provider of Security Services in order to deliver a high quality and cost effective solution in terms of best practice and adherence to SIA requirements. The Requirement The Trust’s intention is to appoint a service provider who will assume full end to end responsibility for the Trust’s requirements including wherever appropriate direct stakeholder management and liaison. The service will include Customer Service, Account Management, Communication protocols, and Management Support. • Our specific requirement incorporates the provision of a dedicated site officer at the Brighton General Hospital site. • The Provider will need to have the ability to respond to alarm calls from our monitoring contractor during the contracted hours and should be able to enter and re-secure premises as appropriate. • There is an additional intention that the Provider will respond to Fire Alarm activations for the same premises. • Providers should have electronic tracking/recording systems that monitor site visits • The site officer and vehicle will be expected to patrol other sites (as listed below) and provide a key holding/alarm response service. The service provider will provide and display appropriate signage at all sites and will be able to provide back-up in the event of security breaches or a major incident. • Sites to be included are; Brighton General Hospital Morley Street Dental Clinic and school Mouslecombe Health Centre Portslade Health Centre Chailey Heritage • In addition to the above detailed services there will be a requirement to provide guarding of staff for visits to difficult and potentially violent patients. • Bidders should also note that Sussex Community NHS Trust also provides services across West Sussex including Chichester, Bognor, Crawley and Horsham. These facilities currently have security provided by NHS Sussex. However, due to the changing landscape it is possible during the contract period that there will be a requirement to provide security at other Sussex Community sites.
