The requirement is to provide instructional training for climbing at the Army Foundation College, Harrogate for a 3 year period. There are approximately 15 to 30 Junior Soldiers (JS) who require to be trained in climbing once or twice a week for a maximum of 21 weeks. Intake 31 will be for the period 6 May 13 to 19 Oct 13. Each session will be of 1 hour 30 minutes duration. Each JS will receive one instruction session per week and there will be a maximum of 15 JS per session. For intake 31 the sessions will be Monday 1800 hrs to 1930 hrs and Wednesday 1400 hrs to 1530 hrs. For future intakes the days will be confirmed 2 months prior to being required. Climbing will be predominately carried out on the indoor climbing wall at the College. During the warmer months the contractor will be expected on occasion to utilise local crags for training purposes. On these occasions the transport will be provided by the College. The contractor will need to have a Criminal Records Bureau disclosure. Companies submittting expressions of interest are to provide on a maximum of 2 sides of A4 background information on their company and to include examples of providing similar services. The number of companies invited to tender will be limited to a maximum of 6.
