The overall objective of this tender (‘Water Hygiene Risk Assessment Review’) is:- a) To risk assess water systems and receive specialist knowledge from a LCA accredited contractor to enable the City Council to meet its requirements listed in the HSE document ACOP L8 which contains a detailed summary of the various health and safety legislation relating to the prevention of legionellosis proliferating in water systems. b) To update or provide schematic drawings of our current water systems to compliment are our existing database of drawings. c) To provide a prioritised list of recommended remedial works to the Contract Administrator to allow the data to be entered into the condition survey for each building, so that work can be incorporated into future maintenance and improvement works. d) To determine the condition of the water systems and the accessibility of associated equipment. e) To provide a written scheme of the control and exposure of legionellosis and deliver site specific training to the appointed person to implement safe operation of the system as part of the risk assessment. f) To review the current on-site management systems and records and to provide guidance and site specific refresher training especially where shortfalls exist. g) To assess the ability and competence of the appointed person and staff who manage and control the risk of legionellosis. h) To return after 12 months and review recommended actions, current control measures and logbook compliance after twelve months of the original assessment.
