EMPACT (East Midlands Procurement and Commissioning Transformation) CCS (Commercial Support Service) and the participating Commissioners seek ITT submissions for the provision of an NHS 111 and Out of Hours Call-Handling / Clinical Assessment Service in Leicester, Leicestershire County & Rutland.
This Procurement will be facilitated and managed by EMPACT on behalf of the Commissioners.
This is being carried out as an Open Procedure and the ITT is due to be published by 5pm on the 3.12.2012. This ITT includes both an NHS 111 service, including the ability to provide Out of Hours Call-Handling / Clinical assessment services.
To enable an integrated 111/OOH service, local practices and the CCG's have decided to set up a new integrated call-handling service which integrates 111 demand and a range of Out of Hours calls. The exact number of Out of Hours calls will be confirmed by the end of December 2012.
The NHS 111 Service will provide a memorable three digit number and provide call handling, clinical assessment and referral to an appropriate service with the aims of making it easier for the public to access urgent healthcare and to drive improvements in the way in which the NHS delivers that care.
This Procurement will be facilitated and managed by EMPACT.
