GB-Bristol: Atmosphere Control for Mixed Manning on Subs

Air purification carbon dioxide scrubbing assembly (portable and static) manufacture. To manufacture multiple engineered portable Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) devices and multiple scrubbing assemblies for the static Controlled Atmosphere Ventilated Environment (CAVE) compartment to meet the Royal Navy’s (RN) future Mixed Manning in Submarines (MMIS) (females serving in RN submarines) capability. The manufacture of these devices will largely require the sourcing and integration of a number of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) components onto a harness (for the portable assembly) and a skid (for the CAVE assembly). The assemblies would be constructed to engineering drawings supplied by the authority. This requirement does not include the supply of the carbon dioxide scrubbing consumables that these devices will accept
