Provide Career Guidance Workshops for Junior Soldiers (16 and 17 year old) at the Army Foundation College Harrogate who leave the Army either through choice or medical discharge or services no longer required. The guidance is to include: a) identification of transferable skills, a review of varying CV types and development / updating and production of an appropriate CV for each individual participant. b) Job search, interview techniques, completing job application forms and communication skills. The aim is to incorporate a range of delivery mechanisms e.g paper based exercises, use of IT resources and discussion processes. c) Exploration of training opportunities, focusing on identification of occupational areas of interest, research into individual providers and consideration of funding / financial benefits via internet research and any other available media. d) Exploration of further education opportunities, focusing on identifying occupational areas of interest, research into individual providers and consideration of funding / financial benefits. e) Providing all with an action plan and facilitate further information on the various young people’s employment services in their local area via appropriate online facility.
