The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) has a requirement to determine the pharmacokinetics (PK) of doxycycline and a novel formulation of ciprofloxacin and requires the antibiotic concentration to be determined in 99 plasma and 99 lung tissue samples. Dstl will provide all the samples and adequate control samples. The tissue samples will contain either doxycycline and ciprofloxacin, which are non-hazardous according to Directive 67/548/EEC. The successful supplier would be required to produce a report detailing the tissue preparation techniques, analytical methods used and the antibiotic concentration in the tissues. They would also be required to provide access to the raw data. Preliminary PK analysis would also be required. The report would need to be delivered before the end of January.
