Energy CO2 business as usual emissions projections and marginal abatement cost data

Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) would like to commission some energy modelling to produce data on international carbon dioxide (CO2) energy, industry and process business as usual emissions and marginal abatement costs. There will be two main deliverables: (1) International historical and projected business as usual (BAU) emissions data and (2) Marginal abatement cost (MAC) data for CO2 energy, industry and process emissions. A report covering key results and drivers is also required. Data should cover key years out to 2050, and will need to be broken down at country/regional level and by sector. The data will be used as inputs for DECC’s in-house global carbon finance modelling work, and for analysis of greenhouse gas mitigation pledges. The data will need to be delivered to DECC by 31st March 2013, with an optional contract extension of one year to provide an updated dataset in March 2014.
