West Berkshire Council is setting up an Approved Provider List for Community Home Care services either delivered to people in their home or accompanying people to other locations as specified in the individual’s Care Plan. The full scope of the required care is defined in the Care Plan but may include the following elements:
- Domiciliary/Home care
- Personal care
- Live in care
- End of life care
- Reablement
Community Home Care services will be commissioned from West Berkshire Council’s Approved Provider List. The service will be required every day of the year including Bank and Public Holidays (which will be deemed as a normal working day). The service will need to be flexible and delivered according to each person’s Care Plan – to include where required 24 hours per day for live in care requirements.
Service Providers will apply to be listed on the Approved Provider List. The Approved Provider List (APL) is an ‘open’ listing, meaning that new Service Providers will have the opportunity to join the APL at 6 monthly intervals.
During these intervals providers who already sit on the APL will have the opportunity to review their fixed pricing and reduce their fixed rate to allow them to continue to offer competitive pricings.
