Commissioning: Translational Research Analysis Framework. The Medical Research Council (MRC) has built up extensive investments in translational research over the last five years, both through grants, units, and increased support for MRC Technology’s (MRCT) work with the intramural programme. This commissioned work is to provide analysis that goes beyond current reporting of inputs (investments by area, type) and outputs (e-Val-derived lists of papers, reported collaborations, and translational events such patents and licences), but which does not necessarily involve novel or exploratory research
