The objective of the services is to design and deliver a programme of activities that will provide the ways and means for compensatory habitat and landscape treatment within the designated Airport Development Area (ADA) during the four-year airport construction period. This will reduce and offset both the permanent direct loss of habitat, and the direct and indirect impacts on St Helena’s landscape resulting from the construction of an airport and associated infrastructure. This programme will be developed from the approved existing outline plan described in the Environmental Statement for the airport project. The Supplier will develop this outline plan into a fully costed implementation programme and will be responsible for its successful delivery. This will enable the St Helena Government, as the Employer, to meet its own obligations to the Contractor as set out in the Environmental Management Plan . The programme will be implemented concurrently with the main construction contract.
