13137R - Demolition and Associated Works of Billesley Common Changing Pavillion

Birmingham City Council invites organisations for the demolition and associated works including licensed asbestos removal, demolition and site clearance of Billesley Common Changing Pavillion, Yardley Wood Road, Billesley, Birmingham, B13 0TA Due to severe vandalism it is considered that the 2 Storey former changing pavilion is no longer viable to repair and therefore identifies the need for demolition and site clearance. The building at present has been heavily vandalized and subject to several arson attacks. The works will require the safe removal of both licensed and non-licensed asbestos containing material from the structure in accordance with current legislation. Contractors wishing to tender for this contract must have 2 years of audited accounts showing a minimum annual average turnover of £75,000. A Public/Product liability insurance of £5 million and Employers Liability Insurance of £10 million must be provided. It is anticipated the works will commence in September 2020 and be completed by October 2020. The estimated value of the works is in the region of £55,000.00 to £85,000.00. BCC will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
