Non-piloted aircraft. Fixed-wing aircraft. The Remote Sensing team of English Heritage would like to lease an aircraft in order to undertake 180 hours of flying per year for the purposes of taking oblique aerial photographs. The aircraft should be based at Oxford airfield. The contract is for a total of 3 years with an option to extend it by an additional 2 years.
English Heritage will be the operator of the aircraft and be responsible for hiring pilots with commercial licenses. English Heritage will be the principle user of the aircraft, however when the aircraft is not being utilised by English Heritage, the aircraft may be leased to third parties, or used by the contractor for it's own purposes, subject always to the requirement that this will not conflict with English Heritage's requirements and to obtaining English Heritage's prior consent.
