The Delivery of Breathing Apparatus Training:

Warwickshire County Council (WCC) are seeking experienced and competent provider(s) to deliver General Breathing Apparatus Refresher training (LOT 1) and/or Carbonaceous Fire Behaviour training (LOT 2) according to Home Office Guidance and Compliance Framework Compartment Fire Behaviour training volume 4 and national guidance for Breathing Apparatus Training at operational levels as reflected within the tender documentation, contract and specification for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The standard is generally about up skilling and maintaining competency and confirming competency around the knowledge and skills whilst developing Fire and Rescue staff in Warwickshire. The delivery of the training must be to the current Home Office (Fire and Emergency Planning Directorate) policy for Breathing Apparatus training in General Refresher and Carbonaceous Fire Behaviour.
The provider will deliver the provision of real fire environments which are defined as Fire Behaviour standard cribs. This applies for both LOTS 1 and 2.
The Provider must be in a position to commence the delivery of the training for one and/or both LOTS at a minimum of 10 calendar day notice commencement from April 2013 at times and venues agreed with WCC and/or WF&RS.
This service is for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue staff across Warwickshire. All delegates will be working towards achieving specific General Breathing Apparatus Refresher training and/or Carbonaceous Fire Behaviour competencies.
The training will be at venues and times which will have been mutually agreed with Warwickshire County Council and/or Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service.
The provider will be responsible for organising and booking of the venues. All venue costs (if relevant) including all associated costs of the venue will be the responsibility of the Provider.
