Thames Water are seeking the supply of the following services:
FA1108 lot A electrical installation (LV) inspection and testing, including corrective maintenance.
FA 1108 lot B inspection and testing of lightening protection systems and earth mats.
FA 1108 lot C inspection and testing of FLIP devices in domestic premises.
The scope of work for FA 1108 lot A will include electrical installation condition report inspections to BS7671 (requirements for electrical installations) as well as corrective maintenance when required. Low voltage distribution boards and associated/connected assets will be covered by this agreement. Portable appliance testing will be excluded from the scope of work for FA 1108 lot A.
Lot A is split into 4 geographical regions:
Area 1 - Western (area bounded by Banbury in north, Cirencester in west, Bracknell in east and Basingstoke in south).
Area 2 - Central North (area bounded by East Hyde in north, Slough in south, Bourne End in west and Bishops Stortford in east).
Area 3 - Central South (area bounded by Twickenham in north, Farnham in south, Basingstoke in west and Raynes Park in east).
Area 4 - East (area bounded by Woodford in north, Bromley in south, Dartford in east and Croydon in west).
The scope of work for FA 1108 lot B will include all routine inspections and periodic tests with BSEN 62305: 2006 (protection against lightning) and BS 7430 : 1998 code of practice for Earthing. Tenderers covering the entire TW region are preferred for this lot.
The scope of work for lot C will include arranging appointments with households and dealing with householders in order to gain access to, inspect and maintain FLIP (anti-flood) devices. Tenderers covering the entire TW region are preferred for this lot.
A Thames Water scheduled programme of inspection work will be undertaken. This will cover up to 5 000 sites ranging from small water and waste water pumping stations up to and including major treatment works.
