West Midlands Rail Limited (WMR), trading as West Midlands Rail Executive (WMRE) has awarded a Framework Agreement for Franchise Advisory Services, comprising of specialist consultancy expertise on specialist railway, technical and commercial advisory services. The current West Midlands Franchise is due to expire in March 2026 and WMRE's aspiration is for the next Franchise to be designed , procured and managed for the West Midlands by the West Midlands. In order to be successful in its aim, WMRE has procured expertise available in the market place to offer specialist railways, technical and commercial advisory services. The Framework will be available to other local authorities. The requirement was split into the following lots: Lot 1 Devolution and Strategic Planning Lot 2: Transport Integration Services Lot 3L Rail Operations and Performance Lot 4L Customer Quality Lotb5: Economic and Revenue Forecasting Lot 6:: Railway Infrastructure and Assets Advice Lot 7 Rolling Stock.
