Barrow in Furness HWRC is the second busiest HWRC site in Cumbria. This site currently does not meet the Base Standard agreed with Renewi Cumbria Limited (RCL) and is unfit for purpose. Cumbria County Council are seeking to appoint a consultant to undertake feasibility works and produce a concept design showing how the site can achieve the required standards, increase its capacity as well as improve safety at the site.
