UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) British Antarctic Survey (BAS) had a requirement for the supply of an Avtur fuelled Capstone C30 Micro-Jet Turbine and its containerisation, suitable for operation in the Antarctic conditions expected at Halley Station. This Single Sourcing Action (SSA) was approved in line with Regulation 32 (2) (b) (ii) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (as amended).
