Border Force (BF) is a Directorate of the Home Office. BF operate a fleet of six (6) Coastal Patrol Vessels (CPV), all CPVs are equipped and certified to Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA) MGN 280 Workboat Code of Practice, (HSVC) Category 2, for service in waters up to 60 nautical miles from a safe haven. All six (6) CPVs have a requirement for a programme of maintenance, annual certification and, also, some defect rectification. The full package of works required is detailed in the attached Statement of Requirements (C16843 - CPV Alert - SoR Vf1). Following this sourcing exercise based on written quotation, this contract will commence on 11th November 2019. Upon successful acceptance of CPV Alert by the supplier, the work package is required to be undertaken between 11th November and 25th November 2019 in line with the CPV's operational working pattern between Lowestoft and The Solent. Bidders are required to submit written quotations in both .pdf and .doc formats. The purpose of this notice is to make the Statement of Requirements available and to invite potential suppliers to confirm they can fully meet the requirements by providing a fully itemised written quotation for the work package. Those potential suppliers are invited to send an email to Ian McDermott, Home office Commercial: Ian.Mcdermott@homeoffice.gov.uk, confirming their interest in this opportunity, providing the itemised quotation, in addition to confirmation of yard availability on the stated dates. Furthermore, confirmation of agreement to the Home Office Standard Short Form Services Terms and Conditions (CPV Alert LSAMA - Terms and Conditions) on which the contract will be awarded is required. Quotations should also be accompanied by a CDP as stated in the SoR section 5.4.
