This Housing project is for the upgrading to various switchgear apparatus & plant to blocks of flats within the Borough. The Assets & Commercial Services Division is located at the Town Hall within the Finance & Resources Department of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. London Borough of Barking & Dagenham is now inviting expression of interest to be submitted for upgrading the switchgear to their existing Housing stock. It is anticipated that works will be undertaken within the 17 wards across the Borough. The scope of works and estimated values are listed below: Switchgear Upgrade Contract Value – up to £2m Tenders are anticipated to be issued early December 2012 for return at the beginning January 2013. It is anticipated that the works shall commence on site by during February 2013. It is imperative that works commence on site with the minimum of delays. The estimated length of contract is 3 years plus a possible 1 year extension Scope o Landlords Switchgear equipment o Landlords Switchgear distribution boards & controls o Communal incl. 24h emergency lighting o Landlords / Residents block heater controls o Fixing of steel security doors to riser cupboards containing earthing equipment.
