The Council invites quotations for the provision of Election payroll service The Council is legally required to appoint an Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and Returning Officer (RO) to deliver electoral registration and run elections in the borough in accordance with statutory requirements. Electoral Services, part of the Resources department, supports the ERO/RO. At every election the RO employees people in specific roles to assist with the delivery of the election. These are ad-hoc appointments for each individual election. The RO needs to engage a supplier to pay staff who are employed on elections via BACS payments including making all arrangements for payment of Tax to HRMC.
