Ofgem is seeking to appoint a Service Provider to work with us during the Beta pilot of the "Check your energy deal" project which will run from August until December 2017. We wish to recruit a Service Provider that can provide two key functions: 1. Develop and operate an online user platform to be hosted on Ofgem's website that provides the ability for users within a defined geographic region (to be confirmed) to compare their current gas and/or electricity tariff with the cheapest deals for them across the market and, if desired, to switch to their preferred option. The displayed deals must be based on the user data (e.g. region and consumption data) which Ofgem shall provide to the Service Provider via a secure data connection (SFTP or similar), with the user's consent. The Service Provider will be prohibited from accepting any payments or other consideration from anyone other than Ofgem for or in connection with the Service. 2. Source and provide from across the whole of market (as described further in the terms and conditions) via such online user platform the three cheapest domestic electricity and/or (as requested) gas tariff details for users in in response to live queries from an Ofgem hosted site.
