The site currently houses a mix of retail and residential units. The proposal is to demolish the whole of the existing building and replace it with a new development consisting of 1) a ground floor retail unit, capable of subdivision into smaller units and 2) 4 upper floors, each of 8 residential flats with some car parking. The construction budget is likely to be ?5-6m and will be subject to EU procurement. The Council is looking to tender and appoint a professional team to deal with the redevelopment of the site. An Architect and Quantity Surveyor have already been appointed and we now seek a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer and Structural and Civil Consultant to join the team.
