FUTURE ARRANGEMENTS Leidos would like to make interested suppliers aware that it intends to invite tenders for its Reagents requirement in September 2017with a view to awarding Contract(s) that will commence in November 2017. Leidos intends to invite tenders to bid against approximately 350 items. The requirement covers a wide range of reagents from a number of manufacturers, many of which have short shelf lives. Leidos require these to be shipped to approx 200 different locations as well as our main distribution hub in Donnington, Telford. The main requirement is to supply products within industry lead times to these different sites. These should arrive with a good shelf life remaining. Part of the service provided in this distribution hub is the rapid generation of stock for short notice operational deployments. Stock is held in Donnington to facilitate this. However, due to the short shelf life of these products and the relatively low turnover of this stock in Donnington, Leidos are exploring whether this stock is actually best held further up the supply chain. Suppliers will therefore be expected to guarantee immediate availability of stock on certain line items and be capable of delivering these on the next working day. PROCESS Leidos wishes to stimulate interest, information and views across the market for the supply of this requirement via this Request for Information (RFI) together with other companies whom Leidos believes may be able to provide useful intelligence on our requirement.
