Forward Swindon Limited, on behalf of Swindon Borough Council (SBC), wishes to submit to tender to procure an operator to manage the property known as 'Unit 3 and Unit 5 of the Swindon Carriage Works' for a 3 year period, to create an innovation centre for knowledge-based start-up and small companies that will foster a community of entrepreneurs. The outcomes include: • Achieving the vision of creating an enterprise incubator for knowledge intensive start-up and growing small businesses • Occupancy levels (at least 80% by end of contract period) • Accommodating at least 30 start-up and small and medium sized industries • At least five different business sectors represented (as Carriage Works should support a diverse range of businesses) in knowledge based businesses in line with the overall Vision for the Carriage Works • Net income to the council over 3 years in line with business plan targets Full details are provided in the tender documents.
