The University of Leeds Print and Copy Bureau (PCB) has the requirement for a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to carry out the provision of print and fulfilment services of the Universitys Alumni Magazine.
The services required include but are not restricted to management of the print production and fulfilment process to ensure that deadline, budget and quality standards are met, ensuring that the PCB is receiving value for money on printing projects and providing advice to the PCB to ensure that it is making best use of its budget.
For reference the previous run included the following, 36pp A4 Alumni Magazine (200 000 copies), 1pp Reactivation Leaflet (3 600 copies, UK requirement only), 2pp Double Sided Magazine Insert Sheet (200 000 copies), Polywrap 30 mic Biodegradable Film, 2pp Double Sided Carrier Sheet (2 Versions (195 000 copies UK/OS, 5 000 copies US), 1pp Business Reply Envelope x 3 versions (155 600 copies UK, 40 000 copies OS and 4 400 copies US). The Fulfilment Specification required the following items to be included within the polywrap, collation of the magazine, magazine insert sheet, reactivation sheet, where applicable, carrier sheet and business reply envelope.
A Mailsort database is supplied and the packs are mailed. UK and International postage must be accounted for, based last time on a net weight of 158gsm.
It is important to ensure the high standards of the product are maintained through the provision of samples prior to print and fulfilment and ensuring delivery is made on time.
The following is purely indicative and may be subject to change. The expected volumes for Year 1 would be a print run of circa 220 000 copies in May 2013 and 240 000 copies in November 2013. Although no guarantees can be provided for subsequent years it is possible to see a trend of a 5 % - 10 % increase in volumes.
