This is a general tree pruning requirement for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. The project has been split into three Lots: Lot 1. is a general Highways requirement; Lot 2. is a general Housing tree pruning requirement; and Lot 3. Combined Highways and Housing provision. This will be reflected in the pricing documentation. Due to the timing of the contract and the short turn around time namely, the end of March 2013, it is likely that two suppliers will be awarded contracts. In this situation, the work will be split proportionally between the two selected suppliers. The contractors may be required to carry out tree pruning at any time through the year. All operations shall be completed so as to leave each tree in an acceptable and well-balanced form and in a safe condition. It will be the responsibility of the Contractors to provide a Works Programme that details the manner in which it seeks to fulfil this element of the Contract.
