An Independent Safety Auditor (ISA) is required to provide assurance that planned safety activities are suitable to achieve objectives, that they are implemented effectively and assess outputs to ensure they are correct, valid and fit for purpose. The ISA should be competent in safety audit skills in the Maritime domain, including knowledge of relevant safety policy and legislation. The company is required to be ISO 9001 accredited (certified by UKAS).
