For the provision of Coroners Body Removal Service Framework. The contract is for the transportation of the deceased from the place of death to the appropriate mortuary, chapel of rest or a place specified by HM Coroner, their Deputy or their representative ( Coroner's Officer or Police Officer acting on behalf of the Coroner). In some cases this may also be for the subsequent return of the deceased from the mortuary facilities to a chapel of rest or location directed by the Coroner. There may be rare occasions where there will be a requirement for the deceased to be transported to specialist centres for post mortem.
