Rother District Council, in conjunction with Hastings Borough and Wealden District Councils seek bids from suitably licensed and accredited organisations that can facilitate collection of stray dogs (within specified hours), to operate an out of hours collection, to receive stray dogs collected both by an approved dog handler and by Council Officers and to undertake the safe custody and care of said animals including rehoming. It will also include dealing with dangerous or aggressive dogs where necessary.

Contract value: Rother District Council (also known as the lead contracting authority) is seeking to award a 3 year contract, commencing on 1st April 2013 for the provision of stray dogs collection and kennelling services. The contract will also allow for an additional two 12 month extensions (five years in total), subject to successful review.The service is also being procured on behalf of Hastings Borough Council and Wealden District Council, collectively known as “participating authorities”. Important Note: Rother District Council provides a shared Environmental Health service on behalf of Wealden District Council and the appointed provider will enter into a contract with Rother District Council to provide this service on behalf of both authorities. Hastings Borough Council will enter into a separate contract with the successful provider/s based on the specification and terms and conditions contained in this document.Estimated value excluding VAT: 540 000,00 GBP
