The Department of Health is tendering 3 Contracts with a combined total value of 270M for a contract term of between 5 and 10 years. Lot 1 - NIHR Evaluations, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC)* Lot 2 - National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Central Commissioning Facility (CCF) * Lot 3 - NIHR Office for Clinical Research Infrastructure * - Lots 1 & 2 have to be separate suppliers The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) provides a health research system in which the NHS supports outstanding individuals working in world-class facilities, conducting leading-edge research focused on the needs of patients and the public. The NIHR works in partnership with many sectors including the public and service users, the NHS, public health, other Government funders, the academic and third sectors and industry. The NIHR Evaluations, Trials and Studies Coordinating Centre (NETSCC) is a crucial component of the NIHR providing identification, prioritisation, research commissioning and management facilities for needs led Research Programmes. The Central Commissioning Facility (CCF) is a crucial component of the NIHR providing research commissioning, management and hosting facilities for: - Research Programmes. - Research Schools. - Research Infrastructure. - Research Faculty. - Systems for supporting Research, Growth and the Life Sciences Industry. The NIHR Office for Clinical Research Infrastructure (NOCRI) aims to maximise the Department of Health's substantial investment in clinical research infrastructure and help other research funders, such as industry and charities, to navigate this infrastructure for: - Health research and patient benefit. - The nations international competitiveness as a location for applied clinical research. The successful bidders will be able to demonstrate: - R&D commissioning and management expertise. - A solid institutional base with structures for recruiting and developing research management staff. - An understanding of key research funding bodies. - An understanding of DH and NHS. - Multi-disciplinary skills i.e. finance management, communications, information systems, administrative and secretariat skills. - Systems and processes to support excellent information governance and data management. Maximum Range: between 15 000 000 and 176 000 000 GBP (includes Lots 1 and 3)
